Job Description

Babel Audio works with some of the biggest technology companies in the world and thousands of participants globally to collect the audio data that will train the next generation of AI models. We are looking for thoughtful, expressive individuals who can engage in natural, free-flowing 15-minute conversations with another participant. These discussions are unscripted and topic-driven, designed to capture genuine human interaction, emotional presence, and authentic back-and-forth dialogue.

This is a fully remote, freelance position that offers complete flexibility in when and how much you work.

Requirements

What you’ll do:

• Join 15-minute recorded conversations with a matched partner
• Choose topics collaboratively and discuss them naturally
• Listen actively and respond with authentic interest
• Ensure consistent, clear audio throughout each session

What We’re Looking For:

• Fluent in English, with clear speech and strong conversational skills
• Comfortable speaking confidently and engaging with new people
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to follow project guidelines carefully

Compensation

• Starting at $17.50 per recorded hour
• Additional performance-based incentives may be available

Technical Requirements

• Desktop or laptop computer (no tablets or phones)
• External or USB microphone (preferred for optimal audio quality)
• Stable, reliable internet connection
