We’ve been building Mixlo, a location-based music platform, for the last six years, and we realized the product is only as good as our understanding of what’s actually happening on the ground in each city. Before we launch at scale, we are sitting down with the people who are already doing the real work - artists, producers, organizers, venues, collectives, and let them tell their own stories.
Our founder has been a professional musician for a long time and has seen and felt how exploitative the industry can be toward musicians and venues, so this conversation is both a way to document those experiences and a way for us to listen: how people discover shows, how tickets really get sold, how local charts should work, and what tools would actually help all parties involved in music communities.
