Job Description

This very part-time position is primarily responsible for receiving and displaying the jewelry and eyewear shipments for their assigned store(s). Additionally, the role involves assisting with any customer service requests related to greeting card and eyewear merchandising from the store management/leadership team. The core duties are centered around being a merchandising representative of OneSource for service to customers located in the territory. The merchandiser provides support functions, including stocking and merchandising, ensuring cards and eyewear are displayed according to sales volume, store preferences, and/or regional programs. The merchandiser will report any observed alterations of greeting card displays to OneSource and must comply with all regulations and policies established by OneSource management. This part-time position does not lead to full-time opportunities.

Job Competencies

May be required to occasionally print documents from OneSource emails and respond to any OneSource correspondence within 24 hours. Reliable transportation is required. Must communicate all schedule changes to OneSource management and store leadership team, present self well along with a clean and neat appearance (hygiene), work consistent weekly scheduled visits (as assigned), commit to use store phone to record worked in and out times through the IVR time management system. Must utilize good communication, listening, and organizational skills, including following written and verbal directions, working with minimal supervision, and developing good working relationships.

Qualifications

Merchandisers must have a valid personal email address, phone and voicemail capability, and regular access to a computer for OneSource management communication. A valid driver’s license or state ID is required. Must wear proper attire while in assigned store(s) and demonstrate a professional working demeanor.

Physical Requirements

Merchandisers must have the ability to do light lifting and occasionally manipulate boxes weighing up to 25 lbs. They must be able to stand for up to 4 hours at a time and perform repetitive bending and movements, including lifting a handful of magazines at one time to move them from display pocket to pocket.

Work Environment

The work environment includes retail, grocery, or convenience store settings.

Education and Experience

Prior merchandising, grocery, or retail experience is preferred.

Language Skills

Must be able to satisfactorily demonstrate communication and listening skills in English, including following written and verbal directions.

Mathematical Skills

Must be able to utilize basic math calculations.
