Wellness App with Specialist Courses for Mental Health

App Developer is needed in United Kingdom.

We are a small startup passionate about improving mental health and seeking an experienced app developer or small senior team to build a cross-platform wellness and personal growth app. The product is fully designed in Figma with clear, comprehensive documentation and is ready for technical implementation. The app will offer calm, psychologically informed personal development courses, various structured tools (reflection, breathing, journaling, trackers), multimedia features (audio, video), and an AI-assisted coaching layer. We want someone with hands-on experience shipping production apps using React Native (or Flutter, if justified), an understanding of offline-first architectures, and a strong grasp of user experience for sensitive content. The role requires building local-first systems, authenticating users, managing data sync (using Supabase in later phases), integrating AI, and ensuring a maintainable codebase. Deliverables for this phase include a production-ready app, core tools and courses implemented, database and sync systems, a clean codebase ready for handoff, and a supporting website/landing page. We appreciate clear communication, respect for our vision, and are ready to provide all Figma and technical documentation under NDA.

Budget range:
Up to £10,000

Examples:
Full Figma design once NDA has been signed

About the client
We are a small startup who are genuinely passionate about improving mental health. One of our directors is a psychotherapist in private practice whose work with clients with a range of mental health issues has helped inform the app’s content and design. Our other partner has extensive business knowledge and has built the Figma design. Our primary goal is to help others to be their best selves, delivered with respect and integrity.
