This is a temporary part-time opportunity expected to last through the end of July 2026, with hours varying week to week, estimating around 15 hours per week. If client needs continue, there’s a strong possibility the role could be extended.

Key Responsibilities

  • Site Migrations & Launch Oversight
  • Own end-to-end SEO strategy for website redesigns, replatforming, domain consolidations, and structural migrations.
  • Develop and validate redirect mapping strategies (301/302 logic, parameter handling, canonical alignment).
  • Lead migration planning including URL structure governance and indexation safeguards.
  • Conduct staging environment crawl reviews to validate crawl accessibility, canonical logic, internal linking integrity, metadata parity, and structured data implementation.
  • Execute redirect QA and validation prior to launch.
  • Lead launch-day SEO validation protocols.
  • Conduct post-launch monitoring and stabilization.
  • Crawlability, Indexation & Canonical Governance
  • Define canonicalization logic and indexation frameworks across templates and page types.
  • Diagnose and remediate duplicate content, parameter sprawl, and crawl budget inefficiencies.
  • Develop robots.txt, XML sitemap, and internal linking strategies.
  • Partner with engineering to implement scalable indexation rules.
  • Structured Data & Schema Implementation
  • Develop and implement structured data strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Create and validate JSON-LD schema across various content types.
  • Monitor rich result eligibility and structured data errors.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate scalable schema deployment processes.
  • Taxonomy & Site Architecture

  • Build logical category hierarchies that enhance crawl paths and distribute authority effectively.
  • Partner with content and UX teams to align user journeys with SEO best practices.
  • Recommend URL structure strategies aligned with long-term growth.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of hands-on technical SEO experience.
  • Proven experience leading complex website migrations (replatforming, domain consolidation, large-scale restructuring).
  • Deep understanding of crawl mechanics and rendering (JavaScript SEO familiarity preferred).
  • Familiarity with HTTP status codes and redirect logic.
  • Knowledge of canonical and indexation frameworks.
  • Experience with XML sitemaps and robots.txt governance.
  • Structured data familiarity (Schema.org, JSON-LD).
  • Log file analysis experience (preferred).
  • Proficiency with SEO and crawling tools (e.g., Screaming Frog, Sitebulb, Botify, DeepCrawl, Ahrefs, Semrush).
  • Experience using Google Search Console and Google Analytics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with front-end frameworks and rendering models (SSR, CSR, hybrid rendering).
  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience collaborating with engineering teams in Agile environments.
  • Agency experience managing multiple client accounts.

Compensation and Benefits
