Job Description

The main function of the Copywriter is to generate all content, including writing full websites, taglines for banner ads, e-mail and online promotions, and entire ad campaigns. The Copywriter will write advertiser’s sales messages that resonate with customers and create advertising copy for various media channels to promote goods and services. Responsibilities include consulting with sales, media, and marketing representatives to gather information on products or services, discussing the style and length of advertising copy, editing or rewriting existing copy, and submitting copy for supervisor approval. Additional tasks involve writing articles, bulletins, sales letters, speeches, and other marketing and promotional materials while conducting research and interviews to highlight a product’s selling features.

Requirements

Skills:

• Adept at creating and reinventing concepts that support clients’ brands.
• Expert knowledge in developing relevant concepts that resonate with the target audience.
• Ability to visually support ideas with type and design that work seamlessly together.
• Ability to write in accordance with clients’ brand and voice.
• Ability to manage multiple projects from concept to finish.
• Understanding of the components of relevance: right message, right place, right time.
• Creative thinker with a strong command of the English language.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience.
• 5-7 years of online writing experience, preferably in an advertising agency.
