Job Description

World Poetry Collective is launching a new livestream and podcast series centered around poetry, publishing, and creative culture. The series will feature poets, editors, and guests discussing the craft of writing, working on manuscripts, and exploring the creative process in a collaborative studio environment. We are looking for a thoughtful and charismatic Host who can lead conversations, guide discussions, and help create an engaging atmosphere for both live viewers and recorded audiences.

Requirements

The Host will lead conversations during livestream and recorded podcast sessions, introduce guests, guide discussion topics, and help maintain an engaging, creative environment during production. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable speaking on camera, enjoys thoughtful discussion, and has an appreciation for literature, poetry, or creative culture.

  • Host and lead conversations during livestream and recorded podcast episodes
  • Introduce guests and facilitate engaging discussions
  • Guide conversation topics related to poetry, writing, and creativity
  • Help maintain energy and pacing during filming sessions
  • Collaborate with the production team to shape episode flow
  • Participate in occasional creative brainstorming sessions for future episodes

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Comfortable speaking on camera
  • Naturally curious and conversational
  • Interested in literature, poetry, or creative arts
  • Able to guide thoughtful discussion and ask engaging questions
  • Calm, articulate, and personable
  • Reliable and professional during scheduled recording sessions

Prior hosting, public speaking, or performance experience is a plus but not required.

Schedule

Recording sessions typically last 3–4 hours and occur approximately twice per month. Additional preparation or creative meetings may occur occasionally.

Compensation

This role offers a pay rate of $30 per hour, paid per recording session and approved production hours. Pay range is $30.00 - $33.00 per hour.
