Client: TomeHero

Location: Remote

Contract: Part-time

Job Description

TomeHero.com is a community-driven discovery platform for fantasy and sci-fi fans that prioritizes user recommendations over algorithm-driven rankings. We are seeking passionate fantasy and sci-fi enthusiasts to write short, authentic reviews (~50 words) of books, films, TV series, anime, manga, and video games they have experienced. The role involves sharing honest opinions on what resonated or fell flat, guiding others in their discovery process.

Requirements

• Passion for fantasy and sci-fi genres.
• Ability to articulate thoughts in written form.
• No need for extensive research or synopsis; focus on personal impressions.
• Experience sharing opinions on platforms like Reddit, Goodreads, Letterboxd, etc. is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

• A monthly payment based on the number of contributions published and approved (up to 50 per month).
• Opportunity to participate in the Tournament of Heroes for a chance to win gift cards.
• Influence on the platform’s content and features as an early contributor.
• Flexible work schedule.
• Remote work location.
• Pay rate: Up to $15.00 per hour.

Application Process

To apply, send an email to the address listed on TomeHero.com containing:

• Your CV
• In one sentence: what does TomeHero mean to you as a fan?
• A sample contribution (~50 words) on the most impactful fantasy or sci-fi work you’ve experienced in the last 12 months.
• Links to any profiles where you share opinions (Reddit, Goodreads, Letterboxd, etc.).
• Your rate for a 50-word contribution.

Note: Applications missing any required components or sent through other channels will not be reviewed.

Additional Information

This role is designed for individuals looking to be rewarded for their insights and help build a platform they are passionate about, rather than being viewed as a side hustle to cover living expenses.
