Job Description

We are looking for a versatile and creative Technical Operator to run THE LIVE BOX, a transportable live podcast & interview studio used at events, brand activations, and conferences. This role combines audio & video production, live operation, hosting, and content editing. You will be the technical and creative backbone of the experience, ensuring smooth live sessions and high-quality content delivery.

Requirements

• Proven experience in video editing, post-production, and multimedia content creation.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to non-technical team members.
• Bilingual skills are highly desirable to support diverse audience outreach.
• Experience with technical writing related to audio/video equipment or processes is a plus.
• ✔ Experience in audio/video production, podcasting, or live events
• ✔ Comfortable with live environments and public interaction
• ✔ Strong technical knowledge (audio mixers, cameras, lighting)
• ✔ Video & audio editing skills (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci, Audition, etc.)
• ✔ Confident, outgoing personality — not camera-shy
• ✔ Organized, autonomous, solution-oriented
• ✔ Able to work evenings/weekends for events

Key Responsibilities

Audio & Video Operations

• Set up, operate, and dismantle audio & video equipment
• Manage microphones, mixer, headphones, cameras, lighting, and screen
• Ensure sound quality and video framing in noisy event environments
• Manage live recording and/or live streaming

Hosting & Guest Interaction

• Welcome guests
• Brief participants and guide them through the experience
• Host or co-host sessions when needed (fun, dynamic, professional tone)
• Keep the energy high and the timing smooth

Content Editing & Delivery

• Edit podcast audio (cleaning, mixing, exporting)
• Edit short-form video content (Reels, TikTok, Shorts)
• Deliver event recap clips and branded content
• Apply basic branding overlays and formats (vertical & horizontal)

Event Management

• Coordinate setup & teardown with event teams
• Manage equipment transport and organization
• Troubleshoot technical issues on-site
• Ensure professional execution at all times

Job Type and Compensation

Job Type: Freelance

Pay: $50.00 - $80.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 12 per week
