Job Description

As an Android OS Embedded Software Engineer, you will work with custom hardware as part of a cross-functional team developing mission-critical NSA-certified Cybersecurity devices. Your role will involve cutting-edge Cybersecurity and high-speed data management. This position requires an active Department of Defense Secret security clearance and is based in Dedham, Massachusetts. The contract duration is 12+ months, and the pay rate is up to $77.49 per hour, depending on experience. Immediate start date available.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or a related field (Science, Engineering, Technology, or Mathematics) with 5+ years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Agile experience preferred.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Real-time multi-threaded embedded software, preferably on Linux and Android OSes.
  • Model-based development, preferably Rhapsody.
  • Android Open Source Project (AOSP) development.
  • Extensive experience in Object Oriented design and programming, preferably in UML, C++, and Java.
  • Android System Application development.
  • Experience with long development lifecycle and product maintenance.
  • ARM virtualization extensions, preferably Hypervisor.

Nice to Have:

  • Hypervisor Technology.
  • Linux.
  • Rhapsody.
  • UML.
  • Device drivers.
  • Ninja/SOONG Build Systems.

What Sets You Apart:

  • Passion for designing complex systems and problem-solving.
  • Proactive in assignments and able to execute projects with minimal guidance.
  • Capable of translating CONOPS, specifications, or requirements into software design, coding, testing plans, and execution.
  • Proficiency with software tools for IDE, version control, defect tracking, and scripting.

Workplace Options

  • This position is fully on-site in Dedham, Massachusetts.
  • You will be part of the Dedham team while on-site.
  • Contractor work schedules will be between 06:00 am and 18:00 pm.
