Mapbox/Web Mapping Specialist
We are seeking a skilled Mapbox / Web Mapping Specialist with experience in creating custom, interactive maps for infrastructure, urban development, and large-scale precinct projects. This role requires a strong understanding of web development and geospatial data, with the ability to translate complex infrastructure information into clear, engaging, and high-performing digital map experiences. The specialist will develop custom interactive maps using platforms such as Mapbox (Mapbox GL JS), integrate geospatial datasets including GIS, CAD, and LiDAR data, and design user-friendly interfaces for map-based applications. Collaboration with creative and technical teams to align maps with project objectives and visual storytelling is required. The role also involves optimizing performance for web and mobile delivery and embedding maps within existing web platforms or applications. Experience with API integration, GIS data formats, and simplifying complex data sets is essential. Desirable skills include experience on infrastructure, transport, or urban planning projects, and familiarity with 3D mapping workflows or digital twin platforms.
