Job Description

SEO Specialist (Fractional) at BFG is a contract role offering 15–20 hours per week, working remotely. This position reports to the Content Manager and collaborates closely with the UX/UI Freelancer and Development Team. BFG is focused on building a Proactive Tax & Accounting System aimed at growth-focused business owners. The SEO Specialist will be responsible for developing and executing BFG’s organic growth strategy, emphasizing actionable insights that attract qualified business owners seeking strategic tax and accounting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1️⃣ SEO Strategy & Architecture

• Conduct a comprehensive technical and content SEO audit
• Develop keyword clusters (300–500+ keywords) aligned with tax and accounting services
• Build a topical authority roadmap around key areas including Business Tax Planning, Accounting Systems, Payroll & Compliance, and CFO Advisory
• Create 12 pillar page SEO architecture
• Map search intent to service pages and blog clusters

2️⃣ Technical SEO (In Coordination with Aabasoft)

• Identify and resolve crawl and indexing issues, core web vitals gaps, broken links, redirect chains, duplicate content, and canonical issues
• Implement structured schema (Service, FAQ, LocalBusiness)
• Improve internal linking architecture
• Optimize URL structure and crawl depth

3️⃣ On-Page Optimization

• Optimize service pages for high-intent keywords
• Improve meta titles and descriptions for higher CTR
• Ensure semantic SEO best practices
• Strengthen pillar-to-cluster internal linking
• Review and refine blog drafts for SEO alignment

4️⃣ Search Console & Performance Monitoring

• Monitor impressions, CTR, keyword movement
• Track service keyword rankings
• Identify underperforming pages for optimization
• Deliver monthly SEO performance reports
• Recommend data-driven improvements

5️⃣ Content Collaboration

• Provide keyword briefs to Content Manager
• Ensure each blog supports a pillar strategy
• Align SEO with conversion-focused UX updates
• Build long-term topical authority in the accounting niche

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on SEO experience
• Proven results in ranking competitive service-based websites
• Strong technical SEO understanding
