COPY EDITOR
(Remote position)
The Dallas Examiner is seeking a skilled Copy Editor to join our editorial team. This remote position requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong command of AP Style and a commitment to accuracy, clarity, and consistency in news reporting.
Responsibilities
· Edit and proofread articles for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and AP Style compliance
· Ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency across all content
· Meet strict editorial deadlines
Qualifications
· Extensive knowledge of AP Style
· Excellent grammar, spelling, and editing skills
· Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
· Familiarity with the Dallas Black community is a plus
Schedule
· Workdays: Monday–Wednesday
· Hours: Flexible on Monday and Tuesday, but must consistently meet deadlines
Additional Information
Qualified candidates should be reliable, responsive, and able to manage time effectively in a remote setting.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: From $350.00 per week
