Job Description

I’m looking for a stop-motion animator to create a visual music video for an original track that is 4 minutes and 46 seconds long. The animation should feature a cat as the main character, symbolically and narratively reflecting the lyrics and emotional intention of the song. I am seeking an expressive, atmospheric piece where movement, texture, and pacing are closely connected to the music, rather than a literal storyline.

The visual style should be artistic and tactile, inspired by various examples, and I am open to various stop-motion methods such as paper cut-outs, objects, or mixed media, provided the final result is cohesive and emotive. I will share creative direction, including lyrics, themes, and the song’s emotional intent, to guide your work. This project can be completed remotely, and the final video should be suitable for release on YouTube and social platforms.

Please include examples of your previous stop-motion or animation work, along with a brief description of your creative approach. Budget range: Simple project.

Requirements for the Role

- Experience in stop-motion animation.

- Ability to create emotive and cohesive visual content.

- Familiarity with artistic and tactile visual styles.

- Strong communication skills for receiving creative direction and feedback.
