Vocal Recording Engineer for R&B Birthday Session – Sat, March 28, 2026
Sound Engineer is needed in Toronto, Canada.
I am hosting a 19th birthday recording party at SNDWRX in Kensington Market, Toronto. The session will focus on R&B and involve a main trio of singers and about 15 friends, who will participate in background vocals. I need a vocal recording engineer to set up a high-quality vocal chain with SNDWRX’s equipment, track lead vocals for 3 singers, and record background vocals for the whole group. You will need to do basic on-the-fly mixing so the session sounds good in the room and manage the session flow for a fun, high-energy birthday atmosphere. The track list includes covers like Say My Name (Destiny’s Child), Positions (Ariana Grande), and Love (Keisha Cole). You should be comfortable with R&B vocal production, harmonies, and comping. I’m looking for someone friendly, patient, and confident managing a crowd. The session will last roughly 3 to 4 hours.
