Job Summary:

We are seeking a Data Engineer with strong SQL skills and hands-on experience working with enterprise data warehouse environments. This role will play a key part in building and maintaining scalable data solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Power BI. If you’re passionate about transforming raw data into meaningful insights and enjoy collaborating across teams to support analytics initiatives, this could be a great fit.

Responsibilities of the Senior Data Engineer:

• Build and maintain robust data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and integration across diverse systems.
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT workflows using Microsoft Fabric Data Factory.
• Write advanced SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to support high-performance data operations.
• Apply best practices in data modeling for enterprise-scale data warehouse environments.
• Architect and manage data warehouse solutions using Microsoft Fabric’s Data Warehouse and OneLake.
• Ensure consistency, reliability, and scalability of data across reporting and analytics platforms.
• Work closely with developers to structure data for efficient Power BI usage, including semantic modeling and partitioning.
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver clean, actionable datasets.
• Provide guidance on SQL optimization, data governance, and reporting standards.

Requirements

Preferred Experience of the Senior Data Engineer:

• Advanced SQL skills, including query tuning, indexing, and performance optimization.
• Experience with enterprise data warehouse architecture and implementation.
• Proficiency with Azure Data Factory, OneLake, Databricks, Data Warehouse, and Power BI.
• Solid understanding of data modeling techniques (e.g., star schema, snowflake schema, normalization).
• Experience with data integration, data orchestration, and data ingestion.
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes and orchestration frameworks.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Comfortable working in agile, fast-paced environments.
• Bonus: Experience with real-time analytics and large-scale data processing.
• Bonus: Experience with Microsoft Fabric.
