Job Description

Our Utility Client in Brooklyn, NYC is looking for a 12+month contractor skilled in ArcGIS Development and Administration. This is a hybrid role requiring onsite presence 1-2 days a month, so locals only please. The candidate must have experience with ArcFM.

Assignment Details include providing development and technical support to the ArcGIS and ArcFM based Enterprise GIS system and applications.

  • Take up development for minor enhancements using Python, Angular JS, ArcGIS Javascript API, ASP .net (C#).
  • Support Landbase applications including new development and troubleshooting requests.
  • Setup new ETL process using FME Workbench.
  • Deploy ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal and Server) and administer ArcGIS server sites.
  • System monitoring and performance tuning of the systems.
  • Publish services and administer user roles and privileges.

Coordinate with other teams like server support, security, DBA, etc.

Requirements

  • 4-10 years of experience in administration, support, and development of ArcGIS applications.
  • 3-5 years of experience in administering and supporting ArcFM applications.
  • Development and coding experience using Python, Angular JS, ArcGIS Javascript API, .Net (C#).
  • FME Experience: Work closely with FME Suite for GIS Landbase activities to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Experience in deploying ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal and Server) and administering ArcGIS server sites.
  • System monitoring and performance tuning of the systems.
  • Ability to publish services and administer user roles and privileges.
  • Ability to coordinate with other teams like server support, security, DBA, etc.
  • Ability to understand requirements, support teams, and share best practices/lessons learned.
  • Provide status of the tickets to the client SME.
  • Troubleshooting and problem resolution for issues reported by end users of the enterprise applications.

Valuable Assets (Not Required):

  • Utility Experience: Leverage utility industry experience to enhance GIS solutions and contribute to industry-specific initiatives.
  • Windows server administration experience.

Additional Information

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $70.00 - $85.00 per hour

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Brooklyn, NY 11217
