We are seeking a skilled 2D animator to bring our concept to life in a 60-second animated piece. The animation should be simple, expressive, and character-driven, focused on capturing comedic timing and personality rather than visual complexity—in the spirit of shows like South Park. The project is comedic and observational, highlighting exaggerated but recognizable characters from SoCal car culture. We have a highly engaged online community and the project is backed by a notable figure in the automotive world, with the potential for ongoing work. We will handle all writing, editing, post-production, and audio in-house; your main responsibilities will be the animation and visual execution. Your personal creative ideas for visual style are also welcome. Familiarity with car culture is a bonus, but not essential.

Angeles Death Highway focuses on the absurdities of SoCal car culture and the personalities that define it. We have built a strong and highly engaged community on Instagram with over 10,000 followers, using short form, AI assisted proof of concept videos (@AngelesDeathHighway). The ideas, writing and post-production are not AI generated. The project is comedic and observational, built around exaggerated but very recognizable characters. The direction is simple, expressive, character driven 2D animation. Think in the spirit of South Park, where timing, delivery, and personality matter more than visual complexity.
