Job Description

Platinum Commerce, LLC, a leading E-Commerce and Social Commerce agency, is seeking short-form content creators to join our creative team. In this role, you will create and transform raw footage into engaging, trend-driven TikTok videos that capture audience attention and drive results for clients. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of TikTok, can edit quickly while maintaining high creative standards, and will collaborate with content strategists, creators, and brand partners to produce captivating 15-60 second videos.

Key Responsibilities

Video Editing & Production

• Create short form product videos using themed studios.
• Edit videos for TikTok through CapCut.
• Create engaging hooks within the first 1-3 seconds to maximize viewer retention.
• Add dynamic text overlays, captions, and on-screen graphics optimized for mobile viewing.
• Sync video cuts to music, sound effects, and trending audio for maximum impact.
• Color correct and enhance footage to maintain visual consistency and quality.

Trend Research & Creative Development

• Stay current with TikTok trends, viral formats, transitions, and editing styles.
• Proactively suggest creative concepts and editing techniques to improve content performance.
• Analyze top-performing videos in relevant niches to identify successful patterns.
• Experiment with new editing techniques, effects, and formats to keep content fresh.

Asset & Project Management

• Organize and manage video assets, project files, and raw footage libraries.
• Maintain consistent file naming conventions and folder structures.
• Meet tight deadlines while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Export videos in correct formats, aspect ratios, and resolutions for each platform.

Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with content creators, strategists, and clients to understand creative briefs.
• Incorporate feedback quickly and iterate on edits to meet client expectations.
• Communicate project status, timelines, and any blockers to the team.
• Contribute ideas during creative brainstorms and content planning sessions.

Requirements

Required

• 1+ years of video editing experience, with at least 1 year focused on short-form social content.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or CapCut (professional version).
• Strong portfolio demonstrating TikTok-style edits with engaging hooks and pacing.
• Deep understanding of TikTok’s platform, algorithm, trends, and audience behavior.
• Excellent sense of timing, pacing, and rhythm for music-driven edits.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing polished final products.
• Reliable internet connection and ability to work remotely with minimal supervision.

Preferred

• Experience editing for e-commerce, UGC, or influencer content.
• Motion graphics and animation skills (After Effects, CapCut templates).
• Experience with TikTok Shop content, product demos, or shoppable videos.
• Basic understanding of social media analytics and content performance metrics.
• Personal TikTok account with content showcasing editing skills.
• Experience in beauty, fashion, lifestyle, or consumer electronics verticals.

Pay and Work Conditions

• Pay: $8-$10 per video created, edited, and quality approved.
• No minimum or maximum amount of videos needed per day.
• Potential bonus on high-performing videos.
• Job Type: Contract.
• Pay: $21.00 - $32.00 per hour.
