Illustration for a workbook

I am looking for an illustrator to help design a workbook and create illustrations for parts of a website. The project involves five comic-style animal characters, for which I have provided sample templates to communicate the desired style. These characters can be adapted or modified in both design and appearance based on further discussion. The illustrations should support the story within the workbook and help children feel understood and engaged, making the exercises less stressful and more enjoyable. As an optometrist and mother, the project is driven by my personal experiences and research on learning challenges, and aims to support families facing similar issues.

About the client
I am an optometrist and a mother. My daughter’s school problems have led to years of research on the topic of seeing, learning, and the brain. With my project, I want to help affected families help themselves with the content of my work. The desired characters should give children the feeling that they are not alone with their problem. The relationship with the comic animals should help them to carry out a daily exercise program without causing even more stress than is already present.
