Job Description

We are engaged in a confidential search for a C# / AS400 Developer to support a large-scale lending systems modernization and data migration initiative within a stable, growth-oriented financial institution. This is a data-centric role focused on moving and transforming critical financial data from legacy IBM (AS400) environments into modern platforms. You’ll play a key role in ETL development, integration, and ensuring data accuracy across systems.

Requirements

What You’ll Do

• Lead data conversion and migration efforts across lending and financial systems
• Extract data from legacy platforms (AS400/DB2), stage, transform, and load into target systems
• Design, build, and maintain SSIS packages for ETL processes
• Develop C# applications/services to support data integration and automation
• Integrate systems using SOAP and REST web services (WCF and modern APIs)
• Validate and reconcile data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to map complex data structures
• Troubleshoot and optimize ETL workflows and data pipelines

What You Bring (Must-Have)

• Strong hands-on experience with SSIS, C#, and SQL Server
• Experience with IBM i (AS400), DB2, or RPG environments
• Proven background in data migration, ETL, or large-scale data conversion projects
• Strong SQL skills (queries, stored procedures, data analysis)
• Experience working with web services (SOAP/REST, WCF)
• Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on data accuracy and integrity
• Ability to work cross-functionally with both technical and business stakeholders

Nice to Have

• Background in financial services, lending, or banking systems
• Familiarity with ADO.NET, LINQ to SQL, or similar data access layers
• Experience supporting modernization or legacy system transformation efforts
