Job Description

As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will work with custom hardware in our Cyber group. You will be part of a cross-functional team responsible for developing mission-critical NSA-certified Cybersecurity devices. This role involves working at the cutting edge of Cybersecurity and high-speed data, as you contribute to a rapidly growing product line.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or a related field (Science, Engineering, Technology, or Mathematics) with 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master’s degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
  • Agile experience preferred.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have an active Department of Defense Secret security clearance at the time of hire.
  • U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of the work.

Preferred Skills and Experiences:

  • Real-Time multi-threaded Embedded software, preferably on Linux and Android OSes.
  • Model-based development, preferably Rhapsody.
  • Android Open Source Project (AOSP)-based development.
  • Extensive experience with Object Oriented design and programming, preferably in UML, C++ and Java.
  • Android System Application development.
  • Experience with long development lifecycles and regular technology refresh.
  • ARM virtualization extensions, preferably Hypervisor.

What Sets You Apart:

  • Passion for designing complex systems and solving diverse problems, with the ability to define scope, schedule, and expectations.
  • Initiative in assignments, executing projects with little guidance and providing technical direction and leadership.
  • Ability to translate CONOPS, Specifications, or Requirements into software design, code, test plans, and execute testing/debugging.
  • Proficiency with software tools supporting Integrated Development Environments (IDE), version control, defect tracking, and scripting.

Workplace Options

  • This position is fully on-site.
  • You will be part of the Dedham team while on-site.
  • Contractor work schedules will be scheduled between 06:00am - 18:00pm.
