"I Believe in Christmas"
Animator is needed in Canada.
I am seeking an animator to collaborate with me on bringing the characters from my children’s Christmas musical to life in a feature-length animation. I have been producing this musical on stage for over 20 years, and now I want to adapt it into an animated format. I am looking for someone who can connect with the characters in the script and share the vision to realize this project. Please review the material available on www.ibelieveinchristmas.ca for a sense of the music and characters that need to be animated. Only serious enquiries, as I am looking for a dedicated partner to work with me to complete this animation, ideally by the end of 2027.
Budget range:
Larger project ($5,000 – 10,000 USD)

Listen to a rough studio mix of the songs and check out the Elves in the Christmas tree for an idea of the characters needed to be brought to life.
Who are you, and what do you do?
I am a semi retired actor/director/musician/writer. I have written a children’s Christmas musical that I have been producing in local theatres for the past 25 years. It’s time to bring these characters to life in a feature length animation. I am looking for a partner who can see the vision that I share. Only serious enquiries please.
Synopsis
The heartwarming story of an adolescent boy who has lost his belief in both Santa Claus
and Christmas. David Lambert used to enjoy decorating the tree at Christmas and sneaking downstairs early on Christmas morning to see what Santa had brought him. But all of that has changed now. David has lost the Christmas spirit and argues with anyone who will listen that there isn’t any evidence or proof that Santa Claus exists. David has fallen prey to peer pressure. This upsets his sisters Maria and Cathy who believe in and love Christmas.
David’s friends say that there is no Santa Claus and that it’s just a game that parents play.
David is at home giving the raspberry to both of his sisters, saying there is no Santa Claus, when out of the blue, well actually, out of the cupboard, pops one of Santa’s clumsy, good will traveling elves, Deuteronomy Topandbottom. Dooty has been sent by Santa to convince David that there is a Santa Claus, and that he should believe in Christmas. That’s when everything goes awry. David is a real tough case, so Dooty is forced to magically transport David and his sisters to the North Pole. When they arrive, David, Cathy and Maria meet Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, Professor Bizzygiggle, Mr. Whizzy, the Toys, all of Santa’s elves, and, the evil Professor Waldo Cranionimus. David is coerced by Prof. Waldo to help him steal all of Santa’s reindeer and ruin Christmas around the world. David betrays Dooty’s trust in helping Prof. Waldo, and then realizes that he has made a big mistake. With lots of mishaps, toyshop explosions, and a fight to the finish, David enlists the help of some of the Toys and, it’s David who ends up saving and believing in Christmas.
With a cast of up to 50 children, 9 wonderful original songs and more surprises than you can shake an elf at, “I Believe In Christmas “is fun for all ages. Even Scrooge would enjoy this fun filled Christmas Musical.
