Renovating an Akiya [Urgent]

Videographer is needed in Mobara, Japan.

We are seeking a videographer and video editor to document the renovation of a traditional 1989 Japanese house (Akiya) in Mobara, Chiba. The project aims to capture the transformation process, highlighting the architectural heritage and the realities of renovation. You will be responsible for on-site filming across four visits over a period of 2–3 months, including both ground and aerial drone cinematography, creating a visual record of key progress milestones and detailed roof-level work, as well as recording interviews with the owner and contractors. The project will require you to produce final long-form documentary (5–10 minutes). The final edit should showcase the ‘traditional vibe’ of the home with professional color grading and sound design. You should have access to a 4K camera, gimbal, and a registered drone, and be skilled in editing software such as Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro. English is required, The video will be in Japanese with English subtitles. Travel expenses will be reimbursed.

I am the owner of an Akiya. Would just like to document the renovation process of revitalising an old house to create a beautiful place where people would enjoy staying in, keeping the Japanese heritage and authenticity. Documenting the beauty of staying in a countryside of Japan.
