Job Description

This role requires the design and development of complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and views for data retrieval and manipulation. The position also involves the creation and maintenance of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages for effective data integration and ETL workflows. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to gather requirements and understand data integration needs. Responsibilities include performing data analysis, developing data models, optimizing SQL queries, troubleshooting database issues, and monitoring data quality and governance standards.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server and SSIS.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Microsoft T-SQL/SSIS Developer or in a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in SQL programming, with hands-on experience in writing complex queries, developing, and tuning stored procedures, and optimizing SQL performance.
• Solid understanding of database concepts, data modeling, and data integration.
• Experience with ETL processes, data warehousing, and data migration.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proven excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven good attitude and self-motivation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with other dialects of SQL compliant with ANSI SQL standards (e.g., Snowflake-SQL, PL/SQL, PL/pgSQL).
• Experience with data modeling techniques for data warehouse reporting and querying, including Dimensional Modeling, and with MS SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS).
• Experience implementing data integration and ETL processes using Python.
• Experience developing reports using BI Tools like SSRS, Power BI, Tableau.
• Experience with source control systems (e.g., Git, TFS) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of PowerShell scripts for automating routine system administration tasks.
• Relevant Microsoft SQL Server-focused certifications (legacy MCSA/MCSE or equivalent).

Contract Details

This is a 12-month contract role with a high potential for conversion or extension. The position is remote with a pay range of $50-55/hr on W2.
