Job Title: Freelance Video Editor (Independent Contractor | Project-Based)

Engagement Type: Independent Contractor (Project-Based)

About Us: We are a hospitality and media supporting company producing food and lifestyle content across platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.

Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Freelance Video Editor to provide video editing services on a project basis. This is a contractor role focused on deliverables, not hours worked.

Requirements

• Qualifications:
• Demonstrated experience in video editing (portfolio required)
• Proficiency with editing software of your choice
• Ability to deliver completed work by agreed deadlines
• Familiarity with social media content formats is a plus

Scope of Services

• Edit short-form and occasional long-form video content
• Incorporate music, captions, transitions, and visual effects
• Deliver final edited videos based on agreed project specifications
• Perform revisions as outlined in the project scope

Compensation

• Fixed fee per project, agreed in advance based on scope
• Payment issued upon delivery and approval of agreed deliverables

Independent Contractor Terms

• This is a freelance, independent contractor role, not employment
• Contractor retains control over how, when, and where work is performed
• Contractor is responsible for their own equipment, software, and expenses
• No benefits, insurance, or employment-related compensation will be provided
• Contractor is responsible for all applicable taxes and filings (e.g., IRS Form W-9 / 1099-NEC in the U.S.)
• Nothing in this engagement creates an employer-employee relationship
