We’re seeking a videographer in the Boston area for a founder video for Dakini, a company with a 33-year history now pivoting to attract Gen Z. This will be a paid freelance opportunity with one shoot day plus edit. The goal is to create a stripped-down, raw, and intentional documentary-style film—not a polished brand movie—with a focus on authentic storytelling, natural light, and capturing genuine moments. The ideal candidate is a film or media student at schools like Emerson, BU, MassArt, or similar, with documentary and interview-style footage in their portfolio. Comfort with handheld shooting and a knack for making subjects forget the camera is crucial. We’re looking for someone who truly understands pacing, lighting, and authenticity, and who is motivated by the spirit of adventure and realness that defines Dakini.
