Job Description

The Social Content Creator is a highly creative and digitally native storyteller responsible for concepting, capturing, and editing engaging, platform-first content across Instagram and TikTok. Working closely with the Art Director and Social Media Manager, this role brings the brand’s social vision to life through compelling, on-trend content that drives engagement, growth, and cultural relevance.

Requirements

• 3 – 5 years experience capturing and editing video content for social media with a strong sense of fashion/luxury aesthetic.
• Ability to interpret analytics with Social Media Director to develop creative content accordingly.
• Strong verbal, listening, and written communication skills; can clearly articulate ideas with confidence to senior management.
• Must be comfortable and able to self-art direct social shoots and design within the brand’s identity, maintaining consistency across each project.
• Must have an understanding of visual communication and an eye for brand aesthetics.
• Passion and understanding of social media, digital, and marketing best practices.
• Must be extremely detail-focused.
• Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced creative environment.
• Must be comfortable working with various teams and collaborate effectively while maintaining a positive, enthusiastic, and energetic demeanor to foster an upbeat working environment.
• Must be extremely self-motivated and proactive.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud programs and video editing knowledge required.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate and communicate directly with the Founder/Creative Director, Creative Team, and Marketing Team to develop, produce, and execute social video shoots supporting social channels.
• Partner closely with the Art Director and Social Media Manager to execute against a cohesive social content strategy, translating creative direction into high-performing, platform-native content.
• Shoot and edit video content under the leadership of the Creative Director
• Content includes social posts, ideating, videos, animated gifs, long format videos, and all other social media creative.
• Sound editing for original audio for social media.
• Keep up with the latest fashion trends and video editing techniques.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and the Marketing Team in executing a social media strategy to engage with followers and grow the digital community.
• Remain up-to-date on current and emerging social, lifestyle, and fashion trends; provide research results to identify engagement opportunities and innovations.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of trends and best practices in platforms and technology (video editing and audio).
• Ideate, create, and execute fresh social media content in the brand voice that aligns with creative direction and supports brand vision.
• Generate and present ideas that push boundaries, collaborating with the team to adapt as necessary to move the idea forward from concept to execution.
• Generate ideas for improving current and developing new ways to market content through social media.

Compensation

The base salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $90,000. This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary for this NY-based position and will depend on factors such as experience and qualifications.
