Job Description
Adelphi is seeking Interior Designers to provide services at a facility in Long Beach, California. The ideal candidates will work with the Engineering Service Planning Section as part of the Interior Design Section, and will be responsible for planning, managing, and executing interior design tasks, ensuring that deadlines, objectives, and resources are managed effectively.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Project Management Certification, Evidenced Based Design Accreditation and Certification, and/or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design.
- Preferred certifications such as National Council for Interior Design Qualification.
Required Competencies:
- Ability to review and interpret blueprints and specifications.
- Skilled in free form drawing and drawing to scale when on a job site measuring for a project.
- Expertise with recommendations for the selection, specification, procurement, and placement of furnishings.
- Must be familiar with Patient Centered Care culture in healthcare.
- Microsoft Project & Revit are beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities
- Independently design solutions for spaces such as offices, conference rooms, patient care areas, and support rooms.
- Create AutoCAD designs and FF&E plans, ensuring compliance with building codes and VA standards.
- Develop procurement packages, including SOWs, specifications, budgets, and cost estimates.
- Coordinate with vendors for procurement, delivery, and installation schedules.
- Financial and Resource Management: Track and manage procurement budgets, schedules, and deliverables using Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD.
- Maintain a resource library with project documents, plans, and procurement records. Manage orders for furnishings, artwork, signage, and supplies.
- Oversee furniture, artwork, and signage installations. Manage punch lists and coordinate completion with vendors and installers.
- Ensure designs adhere to ADA standards, VA TIL, OSHA, ICC, and NFPA codes.
- Assist with moving plans, schedules, and administrative duties during project phases.
