Job Description

The client is seeking a Technical Presentation Designer & Visual Storyteller to support the Marketing Communications team. This role is ideal for someone who excels in using PowerPoint not just for aesthetics but for structuring and sequencing ideas effectively. The candidate will help transform complex data, technical concepts, and results into compelling visual stories, create executive-ready presentations, and design scalable PowerPoint systems/templates. Additionally, the role involves capturing and editing lightweight video content to enhance storytelling.

Requirements

• Experience: 7+ years of experience in presentation design, narrative design, communications, and/or marketing/technical marketing.
• Deep expertise in Microsoft PowerPoint is required, including the creation and use of master slides, complex layouts, and lightweight animation.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud Applications for creating custom digital design assets.
• A digital portfolio is required that demonstrates a passion for presentation and data visualization. Samples should include PowerPoint presentations, infographics, videos, and examples of complex information made simple.
• BA, BS, MA, or MFA equivalent field (or equivalent experience).

Additional Information

Location: San Jose, CA (Onsite)

Duration: 6 Months + extension

Pay: $65.00 - $75.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week

Client Notes

Industry knowledge within the technology and/or semiconductor sectors. The ideal candidate will have technical-oriented visual graphic capabilities, intermediate proficiency in video editing, and the ability to adapt their work style to meet deadlines, solve problems, and create compelling presentations. Experience creating Loom-style videos or internal explainers is a nice to have.

Key Responsibilities

Presentation Narrative & Content Strategy

• Collaborate directly with stakeholders to clarify goals, audience needs, and key messages.
• Refine content by identifying key information while removing non-essential elements to enhance clarity.
• Translate complex data and concepts into digestible visual flows.
• Design slide flows that enhance understanding.
• Content may be for external keynote-style presentations or internal use.

PowerPoint Design & Data Visualization

• Create executive-ready PowerPoint presentations aligned with Semiconductor brand guidelines.
• Transform data into clear infographics, charts, and diagrams.
• Ensure attention to detail regarding typography and brand alignment.
• Be a visual storyteller through design and technical fluency.

PowerPoint Templates

• Design and maintain PowerPoint templates and layout systems.
• Optimize slides for reuse and long-term maintainability.

Video Capture & Editing

• Translate presentation narratives into video content.
• Capture high-quality video with lightweight setups.
• Align video content with slide narratives.
• Provide video edits as needed.
