Job Description

The ETL Developer will be responsible for the scripts and processes required to extract, transform, clean, and move data and metadata so they can be loaded into a data warehouse, data mart, or operational data store. The developer will analyze what the company wants to accomplish with its data and design the best possible ETL process around those goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Work with business requirements to identify and understand source data systems; provide resolutions to data issues and coordinate with data analysts to validate requirements.
• Map source system data to data warehouse tables.
• Provide analysis, design, and development utilizing BI tools and debug data errors.
• Develop and perform tests, validate data flows, and prepare ETL processes according to business requirements.
• Define and capture metadata and rules associated with ETL processes.
• Adapt ETL processes to accommodate changes in source systems and new business user requirements.
• Analyze business requirements holistically as they relate to ETL process and recommend alternative solutions.
• Collaborate with developers and business users to gather required data and execute all ETL programs and scripts.
• Provide support and maintenance on ETL processes and documentation.
• Create simple data flows using Informatica cloud software.
• Build partnerships across application, business, and infrastructure teams.
• Strive to continuously improve software delivery processes and practices.
• Champion company standards and best practices.
• Perform other duties or responsibilities as necessary or assigned.
• Regular attendance is required.

Salary and Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this position is $98,500– $147,800 depending on location, knowledge, skills, education, and experience. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition, we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits to Associates (and their families), such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability. Eligible Associates can enroll in the company’s 401k plan. Associates will accrue paid time off up to 236 hours per year (inclusive of PTO, floating holidays, and paid holidays), along with paid sick time up to 80 hours per year unless otherwise required by law.

Requirements

Job Qualifications – Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent; 2 years of experience working with large enterprise class Data Warehouse projects as an ETL Developer, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Experience with Informatica PowerCenter 10.x and with many transformations including complex lookups, stored procedures, and load routines.
• Strong experience in Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing design principles.
• Experience in requirements gathering and creating architectural and mapping documents.
• Debugging mappings and identifying errors for correction and re-loading.
• Experience with Data Integration Web Services, Data Quality, and Data Validation options.
• Experience automating ETL processes with Informatica PowerCenter.
• Solid experience in database query/performance optimization.
• Experience with SQL Server 2012 through 2019 in database administration and SQL programming.
• Experience working with and planning projects of medium size or complexity.

Job Qualifications - Skills

• Skilled in developing Informatica objects based on low-level design documents.
• Ability to perform relational and multidimensional modeling and schema creation.
• Skilled in the development of cube dimensions, measure groups, calculations, and data management code.
• Good understanding of XML and corresponding XSDs.
• Ability to interact with non-technical departments and business users.
• Ability to understand system functionality at a technical and business level.
• Proven communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate with all organizational levels and work well in a team environment.

Physical Requirements

General office environment requiring the ability to:

• Stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
• Speak and listen to others in person and over the phone.
• Use keyboard and read from a computer screen and reports.
• Lift up to 15 lbs.
