Job Description

The Department and its broader portfolio are essential to the Australian Government’s economic agenda, focusing on building a better future for Australians through enhancing a productive, resilient, and sustainable economy enriched by science and technology. The CIO Division is seeking experienced and motivated .Net developers with a minimum of 5 years’ experience to assist in delivering various ICT projects.

Requirements

Essential Criteria:

• Technical Skills: Demonstrated experience (Min 5 years) in secure web-based business solutions including web APIs using Azure API Manager, customer-facing web portal development using .NET Framework, experience using Angular or React, familiarity with the Information Security Manual (ISM), and experience in unit/integration/automation testing (xUnit, nUnit, Selenium, Playwright.Net).
• Cloud Experience: Proven experience in cloud-based solutions with Azure (e.g., Logic Apps, SQL, Service Bus, API Manager), Azure DevOps, and integrating custom apps with third-party systems (like Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM), including optimizing legacy code for Azure Cloud.
• Agile: Experience working with Agile teams to deliver secure and user-friendly solutions while adapting to new information and challenges.
• Cultural Fit: Ability to work with geographically dispersed teams and collaborate and mentor team members.

Desirable Criteria:

• Experience with Agile and DevOps delivery models.
• Development experience using Angular or React.
• Integration/UI/FrontEnd testing experience (Selenium, Playwright.Net, Jest).
• Tertiary qualifications in software design and development along with experience with SQL servers, Cosmos DB, and high-volume data traffic processing.

• Location: ACT (Onsite, remote working may be considered)
• Security Requirements: Must have Baseline clearance
• Maximum hours: 40 hours per week
