Job Description
We are seeking a Cloud Systems Engineer for a contract position in Celebration, FL, offering an hourly wage of $75.00 - $81.00. This role requires a legally authorized individual to work in the United States as there is no sponsorship available. The Cloud Systems Engineer will utilize a Software Engineering approach to architect, design, automate, monitor, support, and build applications that scale both on-premise and in the Cloud (AWS). Responsibilities include hands-on work in the design, development, and implementation of software systems, monitoring domain technologies, maintaining engineering standards for compute/storage services, and advising business segments on technology delivery. The Engineer will also serve as a technical expert in virtualized technologies and implement DevOps-level deployments using CICD methodologies.
Requirements
- Highly resourceful and independent, with the ability to quickly learn multiple disciplines and achieve manufacturer certification levels.
- Seasoned technologist capable of identifying technology and execution challenges in solutions and products.
- Ability to assist in the creation and documentation of daily operational procedures.
- Strong knowledge of competing virtualization and cloud platforms, and ability to describe their features, benefits, and disadvantages.
- Working knowledge of storage/server virtualization platforms (NSX, VMware, Hyper-V, etc.) and Virtual Environments such as VMware.
- Act as a primary support owner for hosting infrastructure applications, collaborating with project team members on environment changes.
- Provide regular and ad-hoc system reports.
- Improve automation and productivity of provisioning and maintenance through scripting and coding (Ansible and Python desirable).
- Expertise in multiple Public Cloud providers (AWS, Google Cloud Services, Azure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) is required, with AWS experience being essential.
- Familiarity with Akamai or a functionally equivalent solution.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
