Job Description

Service Now Integration - API Developer

The role involves designing and developing ServiceNow integrations, maintaining API endpoints, implementing secure authentication methods, troubleshooting integration issues, and ensuring compliance with security and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop ServiceNow integrations using REST, SOAP, Integration Hub, Spokes, and MID Server.

• Build and maintain API endpoints, scripted REST APIs, and data import/export interfaces.

• Configure Transform Maps, Data Sources, Scheduled Jobs, and ETL logic.

• Implement secure authentication methods (OAuth 2.0, Basic Auth, API Keys, JWT).

• Troubleshoot integration issues, perform debugging, and optimize performance.

• Work with cross-functional teams to understand integration needs and deliver scalable solutions.

• Maintain documentation for integration flows, mappings, and error handling processes.

• Ensure compliance with security, data governance, and ServiceNow best practices.

Requirements

The role requires expertise in designing and configuring ServiceNow applications, enhancing modules, building integrations, performing platform upgrades, and ensuring the accuracy of the CMDB.

Key Responsibilities (continued)

• Design, configure, and customize ServiceNow applications using Flows, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, and Catalog Items.

• Develop and enhance modules such as ITSM, Incident, Problem, Change, CMDB, Service Catalog, Knowledge, Request Management, etc.

• Build and troubleshoot Scripted REST APIs, integrations, MID Server jobs, and Integration Hub workflows.

• Implement data imports, Transform Maps, Scheduled Jobs, and system automations.

• Perform platform upgrades, patching, testing, and regression validation.

• Maintain CMDB accuracy through discovery, integrations, mapping rules, and automation.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and propose scalable solutions.

• Ensure solutions comply with ServiceNow security, performance, and coding best practices.

• Provide L2/L3 support, incident resolution, root cause analysis, and performance optimization.
