Job Description
Rush Translations & Immigrant Services is urgently looking for an experienced and reliable Chinese Interpreter in the Columbia and Charleston, SC regions. The role supports clients during in-person USCIS interviews and related immigration appointments at the USCIS Offices. The Interpreter helps applicants communicate clearly and accurately with immigration officers during important, time-sensitive interviews such as green card and naturalization interviews.
Responsibilities
- Interpret accurately between Chinese and English during USCIS interviews.
- Convey all information completely and neutrally.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- Arrive on time and follow all appointment instructions.
Requirements
- Fluent in Chinese and English.
- Previous interpreting experience preferred (legal, community, or medical settings).
- Strong communication skills and cultural awareness.
Schedule & Pay
- Competitive per-assignment compensation.
- Pay: $60.00 per hour.
