Job Description

We are seeking an experienced .NET Developer to support and enhance existing custom applications. This role focuses on development and maintenance of applications primarily built in C# with SQL backends, along with providing support for platforms such as REDCap, SAS, and GitHub. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-driven developer who thrives in a flexible work environment while maintaining strong collaboration with stakeholders and application users.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 6+ years of hands-on .NET development experience
  • Strong proficiency in C# and SQL/database environments
  • Experience with application development, maintenance, and production support
  • Ability to analyze complex technical issues and deliver effective solutions
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and best practices
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact directly with end users
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage priorities in a flexible work setting

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting or working with REDCap, SAS, or GitHub
  • Strong documentation and process improvement mindset
  • Experience working in government or enterprise environments

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain .NET applications using C# and SQL
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring minimal disruption
  • Analyze, design, and implement system enhancements and fixes
  • Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions
  • Plan and execute development tasks in alignment with team workplans
  • Provide regular updates on progress, risks, and issues to team leadership
  • Identify risks and proactively develop mitigation strategies
  • Contribute to continuous process improvements and system optimization
  • Maintain comprehensive system and technical documentation
  • Support and maintain applications including REDCap, SAS, and GitHub

Work Environment

  • Flexible work schedule with independent work structure
  • Occasional onsite meetings or training sessions required (between 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM)

Additional Information

Location: Remote or onsite at Columbus, OH 43215

Duration: 2026 contract with potential extension through 2027
