The Associate Creative Director, Art is responsible for solving marketing challenges, building client relationships, and leading a team of designers, writers, animators, and engineers. They must have fluency in marketing, media, and tech in the digital space, incorporating a collaborative creative process. This role is fixed to specific brands for which ACDs build lasting relationships and direct teams and campaigns.

This is a fully remote role, with most of the team and clients based on the West Coast. Candidates must be comfortable working around Pacific Standard Time (PST) business hours. Occasional travel may be required.

Requirements

• 8+ years of creative agency or production company experience creating successful ad campaigns.
• 2+ years of leadership experience directly managing individuals or teams.
• Hands-on design experience and ability to provide pixel-perfect design feedback.
• Bonus for experience in brand design and/or motion design.
• Strong portfolio showcasing ability to solve complex marketing challenges, especially for digital and social-first projects.
• Deep understanding of UI features and their impact on users.
• Familiarity with the evolving AI landscape.
• Ability to generate big ideas for promoting tech services and products is a plus.
• Experience with recognized domestic or international brands is a plus.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for video shoots and events (less than 10% of the year).
• Ability to work around Pacific Standard Time (PST).

What You’ll Do

• Lead the development of insightfully driven creative concepts, exceeding client expectations.
• Emphasize Visual Design and Art Direction for digital projects or campaigns with limited budgets.
• Establish and maintain positive client relationships, becoming an expert on brand culture and expectations.
• Work closely with Design and Motion teams to create effective processes for quality work.
• Communicate clearly with the team and production partners.
• Partner with ACD, Copy to create compelling storytelling across media.
• Lead the development and presentation of pitch materials for major campaigns.
• Ensure high-quality strategic, creative, and design deliverables.
• Elevate work quality by setting high standards and articulating creative opportunities.
• Maintain positive relationships across Art, Copy, Motion, and Production departments.
• Mentor junior creative staff and promote a positive creative culture.

This role is leveled as L7, and compensation will be determined based on location, skills, experience, and other relevant factors during the interview process.
