Job Description

A Software Engineer is needed for a contract opportunity onsite with SOC’s client in Arlington, VA. The contract period is 9 months, with a possibility of temp to perm.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to analyze, design, code, and update software for new features and performance improvements. Professional experience in C++ software development, Java, and front-end development frameworks is required. Knowledge and experience with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, and Microsoft SQL Server are essential. Experience with Python, interface communication standards/protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, and DDS, and advanced knowledge of the Linux operating system are also necessary.

Moreover, the candidate should have demonstrated experience with Docker and Kubernetes (RKE2) for containerization, Kubernetes management, and automation technologies. Experience in designing, implementing, and analyzing simulations involving extensive datasets, with proficiency in vector geometry concepts for spatial analysis, modeling, and problem-solving in simulation environments, is required. Collaboration with all teams to support software deployments and integrations is also a key responsibility. Experience with software source control and configuration management tools is expected.

Requirements

• BS degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.
• Professional experience in C++ software development.
• Knowledge and experience with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience with interface communication standards/protocols such as DDS.
