Requirements
Technical Skills Required:
- Python or R: Essential for building and running statistical models; comfortable writing reproducible, documented code for forecasting and modelling workflows.
- Statistical Modelling: Direct experience in building predictive or probabilistic models in a financial services or regulatory context, especially in response rate modelling, volume projection under uncertainty, and sensitivity analysis.
- Customer Response Modelling: Experience in modelling consumer behaviour at scale, with a strong understanding of response rates, opt-out rates, and engagement patterns.
- SQL: Essential for querying large datasets to extract populations and behavioural data.
- Excel: Advanced skills required to translate model outputs into structured financial formats for reporting.
- Time Series and Scenario Analysis: Ability to build multi-scenario forecast models with clearly communicated uncertainty ranges and version-controlled outputs.
- Power BI: Ability to present model outputs through MI dashboards or reporting packs for a non-technical senior audience.
- Data Validation and Model Governance: Structured approach to assumption documentation, model versioning, and output checking; must be able to articulate model limitations to a regulatory audience if required.
Additional Information
This role supports Deloitte Operations by driving MIPR’s forecasting and modelling capability, maintaining the quantitative models for scheme volume forecasts, customer response projections, and provision reporting while also contributing to the broader MI and regulatory reporting suite.
