Contract Opportunity: Comic Artist / Illustrator (Queer Theory & Public Relations Book)Urgent
I am seeking a comic artist or illustrator to collaborate on an upcoming scholarly book focused on queer theory and public relations. The goal is to make complex theoretical concepts more accessible with short-form comics at the beginning of each chapter, inspired by Queer: A Graphic History. The scope involves creating about 10 short comics/illustrations (one per chapter). I will provide chapter summaries, key ideas, conceptual highlights, and direction on style and tone. I am looking for someone who can translate abstract concepts into engaging visuals and is open to feedback and creative iteration. The ideal candidate has experience in comic art or visual storytelling, and is interested in queer theory, social justice, identity, or educational illustration. The collaboration will run through multiple phases, with the completed manuscript due June 1, 2026.
