Job Description

As a Salesforce Developer, you’ll be comfortable with the development, design, and implementation of customizable solutions within Salesforce based upon CRM needs for the Michigan Enterprise Contact Center team at the Department of Technology, Management, and Budget.

Job duties include:

• Hands-on CRM development supporting crisis call workflows for the MICAL (Michigan Crisis Line), including coding and delivering user stories.
• Work with colleagues, customers, and end users to define technical requirements for new projects and enhancements.
• Ensure that technical requirements align with established customer requirements and performance goals, consistent with the client’s long-term strategy.
• Oversee release cycles to implement and deploy new or updated applications and code.
• Maintain overall technical responsibility for project environments.
• Compile internal development guidelines and ensure adherence to standards.
• Collaborate with developers for other systems to integrate across the business.
• Ensure solutions comply with SOM security guidelines throughout the application lifecycle.
• Demonstrate a proven record of delivering business value through technology and communicate strategic technical concepts to executives.
• Devise a training plan for the development team for a seamless transition to Maintenance & Operations.
• Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Requirements

Minimum requirements:

• 6+ years: Strong Salesforce development experience.
• 5+ years: Experience working with Service Cloud and/or Health Cloud.
• 4+ years: Experience developing within the Salesforce platform using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura, HTML5, and JavaScript.
• 3+ years: Hands-on experience with Salesforce Lightning, including LWC.
• 2+ years: Experience with API integrations and Single Sign-On (SSO) implementations.

Additional requirements include:

• Demonstrated hands-on experience with Salesforce, including SFDX and the Salesforce Development Lifecycle.
• Experience using Microsoft Azure DevOps or comparable tools for requirements tracking, CI/CD, or release management.
• Exposure to data migration and/or cloud integration projects.
• Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I and Salesforce Certified Administrator.

Desired Skills

• Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II.
• Additional experience with Conga and Drawloop is beneficial but not required.

Minimum Education

• Bachelor’s Degree.

Location

• Candidates must be local to the Lansing, Michigan area (within 90 miles) at the time of submission; this requirement is non-negotiable.
• Position has a hybrid schedule (Non-Negotiable): Required onsite days - Tuesdays and Wednesdays; Remote eligible days - Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
• Working hours are Monday-Friday, approximately 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Additional Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorships available.
• Must undergo a background check and drug screening for employment.

Employment Terms

• This is a W2 position.
• 40 hours per week.
• HYBRID schedule (Non-Negotiable): Required onsite days - Tuesdays and Wednesdays; Remote eligible days - Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
