Job Description

Our client is a nationally respected provider of health, science, and technology solutions supporting clients in the government and commercial sectors. They are seeking a skilled and DoD cleared Cloud Engineer to support their initiatives in developing and managing cloud-based applications. The successful candidate will enhance cloud processes, ensure that all deliverables meet user acceptance criteria while adhering to security best practices, and possess a strong background in Azure environments along with extensive experience in automation tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, Kubernetes, and Docker.

Requirements

Education, Certifications, and Years of Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related scientific or technical discipline.
• Certification in one or more cloud environments (Azure or AWS).
• Active DoD Security Clearance of Secret or higher.
• 5+ years of DevOps experience.
• 3 years of experience with Azure and other Cloud environments.
• 3 years of experience with Kubernetes in an Azure cloud environment.
• 3 years of experience with application and operating system security.
• 3 years’ hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible and Terraform.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Experience in Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban using tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills, with the ability to communicate strategic information security topics, policies, and standards to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Knowledge and experience working in DoD Azure environments preferred.

Benefits

Compensation:

Salary Range: $140,000-190,000. The salary for this position is determined based on various factors, including experience, qualifications, skill level, and location. The final salary offer will be commensurate with the candidate’s background and the specific demands of the role.

Physical Demands

This position primarily involves sedentary work in an office or remote setting. The employee is regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers to operate computers and related equipment, and communicate verbally and in writing. Occasional lifting and carrying equipment up to 25 pounds may be required. The role may also involve bending, reaching, or kneeling when setting up or troubleshooting hardware. Visual acuity is necessary for prolonged use of computer monitors and diagnosing technical issues.
