Job Description

We’re seeking a BMS Programmer to support controls projects for one of our client’s commercial divisions. Our client is a well-established contractor with a strong engineering team, deep project backlog, and a track record of delivering complex systems across large commercial and industrial facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy control logic, graphics, and sequences of operation for new construction and retrofit projects.
  • Configure controllers, networks, and front-end workstations to meet project specifications.
  • Provide on-site startup, point checkout, and troubleshooting alongside field technicians.
  • Support commissioning agents and engineering teams through functional testing and system tuning.
  • Document programming changes, as-built sequences, and submittal updates for project closeout.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on programming experience with building automation platforms.
  • Working knowledge of Automated Logic or comparable systems.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC equipment, DDC controls, and mechanical sequences.
  • AutoCAD proficiency for reviewing and marking up control drawings.
  • Experience supporting field installation teams during rough-in and trim-out phases.
  • Ability to read mechanical, electrical, and control schematics.
  • Clear written documentation skills for sequences, submittals, and closeout packages.
  • Willingness to travel locally to jobsites for startup and commissioning support.
