Developer needed
Back-End Developer is needed in New Zealand.
We are looking for a backend and infrastructure expert for a short paid trial to help build the backend and infrastructure for a Snapchat-style prototype. You will be responsible for implementing the API, managing the ephemeral media lifecycle, enabling real-time messaging, and delivering a minimal deployable staging environment. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of backend and infrastructure experience using frameworks like Node, Go, Python, or Java. Experience with media pipelines, object storage, CDN, real-time messaging (WebSocket, Pub/Sub), and push notification integration is required. Knowledge of authentication (JWT), ephemeral data retention and auto-delete, secure storage practices, and strong DevOps skills such as infrastructure-as-code, containerization, CI/CD, and deployment to cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) is essential. You should be a clear communicator and available for a 1–2 week (80-hour) paid trial.
