Job Description

An urgent requirement for a Mulesoft Developer on a contract basis in Melbourne. The role involves designing, developing, and deploying APIs using MuleSoft, building integrations with various systems, and ensuring API management and governance as well as supporting the deployment and testing of applications.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities
1. API & Integration Development

• Design, develop, and deploy APIs using MuleSoft including Experience, Process, and System APIs.
• Build integrations between systems such as SAP IS-U / Billing, CRM platforms, Payment gateways, AMI / Smart Meter systems, and Data warehouse & analytics platforms.
• Develop REST/SOAP web services and real-time integrations.

2. Utilities System Integration

• Support integrations for Move-in / Move-out processes, Billing & invoicing, Meter data ingestion, Customer onboarding, and Payment processing.
• Implement batch and real-time data exchange solutions ensuring high availability and performance for high transaction volumes.

3. API Management & Governance

• Design and implement API-led connectivity architecture.
• Utilize Anypoint API Manager for security policies, rate limiting, and OAuth/JWT authentication.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise integration standards and maintain API documentation in Anypoint Exchange.

4. DevOps & Deployment

• Deploy applications via CloudHub, on-premise runtime, and hybrid deployments.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and monitor applications using Anypoint Monitoring.
• Perform performance tuning and troubleshooting.

5. Testing & Support

• Perform unit testing using MUnit and support SIT/UAT phases.
• Provide L2/L3 production support and conduct root cause analysis for integration failures.

Required Skills & Experience

Mandatory

• 4+ years of hands-on MuleSoft development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Mule 4, DataWeave 2.0, REST/SOAP services, and API-led connectivity.
• Experience in utilities system integration.
• Good understanding of messaging systems (JMS, MQ, Kafka).

Preferred

• Experience integrating with SAP IS-U.
• Knowledge of utilities billing and customer lifecycle processes.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
• Familiarity with Agile methodology.
• MuleSoft certification is preferred.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / IT / Engineering.
• MuleSoft Certified Developer is preferred.

Duration: 06 Months and possible extension.
