Deposition Audio
We are seeking an experienced audio engineer to clean and enhance a 4+ hour WAV recording of a legal deposition. The recording was made in a prison environment, with the deponent in a small cinder-block cubicle and a plexiglass barrier separating the participants. Common audio issues include echo, reverb, muffled speech, distance, and background noise. The job requires noise reduction, echo and reverb mitigation, speech clarity improvement, consistent volume levels, and background sound removal to ensure accurate transcription. No creative editing is necessary—strictly restoration for clarity and intelligibility. The deliverables are a cleaned and enhanced WAV (or MP3) file, and optionally, both a light cleanup and a maximum restoration version, keeping all content intact. Experience with dialogue-heavy, legal, or forensic-style audio and long-form WAV files is preferred. Professional discretion is essential as this is a sensitive legal recording.
