Location: Cape Cod, MA (Chatham, Provincetown, and surrounding Cape Cod docks)

Job Type: Freelance / Seasonal / Part-Time

Schedule: Flexible, weather and fishing dependent

Pay: Hourly + travel time included (rate based on experience and equipment)

Red’s Best Seafood works directly with local fishermen across New England to bring the freshest, highest-quality seafood from the docks to customers nationwide. We’re looking for a talented local content creator to help document the daily life of Cape Cod’s commercial fishing industry throughout the summer season.

Responsibilities

• Travel to fishing docks and seafood unloading locations around Cape Cod.
• Capture cinematic, high-quality video content of:
• Fishing boats arriving and unloading
• Fishermen and dock crews at work
• Seafood handling and processing
• Waterfront and harbor scenes
• Shoot both landscape and vertical/social-friendly footage
• Deliver lightly edited content after each shoot day.
• Organize and upload footage remotely to Google Drive or similar cloud platforms.
• Create short highlight edits and curate the best footage from each session.

Requirements

Equipment Requirements

Applicants MUST own and operate professional-level equipment, including:

• A high-quality camera capable of:
• Minimum 4K video
• Minimum 60 FPS recording
• Excellent low-light performance
• Preferred cameras include:
• Canon R5
• Sony A7S III
• Sony FX3
• Comparable professional mirrorless/cinema systems
• Stabilization equipment preferred (gimbal/tripod)
• Drone footage a plus
• Ability to record high-quality audio is a plus
• Reliable high-speed internet for large file uploads

Location Requirements

This position requires someone who is already based on Cape Cod or nearby and can reliably travel throughout the Cape on short notice when fishing activity is happening.

Candidates must be comfortable traveling to:

• Chatham Fish Pier
• Provincetown docks
• Various commercial fishing docks across Cape Cod

Deliverables

For a typical content day:

• Spend approximately 1–3 hours capturing footage.
• Review and lightly edit footage afterward.
• Deliver:
• Organized footage folders
• A curated selection of the best clips
• Short highlight edits or reels
• Approximately 20–30 minutes of usable edited selects

Compensation

Compensation is hourly and includes:

• Travel time
• Shoot time
• Editing time
