What you will be doing:

  • Resolve complex issues across the entire infrastructure lifecycle (installation, configuration, deployment, performance). Manage and upgrade third-party/open-source solutions.
  • Monitor system performance, proactively troubleshoot, and implement solutions to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime. Drive automation initiatives for streamlined processes.
  • Partner closely with Development, QA, and Operations teams across multiple time zones for configuration support, rapid incident triage, and resolution.
  • Conduct post-mortem analysis for incidents, implement preventive measures, propose strategic improvements, and mentor team members on best practices and innovation.
  • Participate in a 24x7 Operations on-call rotation and engage in critical problem resolution outside of typical working hours.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 - 10 years of experience with development and release processes.
  • AWS certification is preferred.
  • Expert in AWS Cloud Services (including advanced tools like CloudTrail, Lambda, System Manager, and DR solutions), CI/CD pipelines (Git, Azure DevOps, SaltStack), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
  • Proficient in monitoring, managing, deploying, and upgrading software/servers across various environments. Experienced with observability and workflow tools (Kibana, JIRA, Logstash, Elastic).
  • Experience with RDS (Oracle, MySQL) performance optimization and administration, along with strong scripting and development skills on Linux using Perl, Python, Groovy, Ruby, and bash.
  • Expertise in designing resilient, high-performing systems, implementing security best practices, and defining comprehensive automation and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise networking, security, monitoring, and caching.
  • Strong independent problem-solver, capable of leading cross-functional issue resolution and influencing technical direction.
  • Proven ability to mentor engineers, coordinate team efforts, and communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
