Job Description

This role requires knowledge of capital markets and involves building and extending applications through throughput and scalability. The candidate must know how to build applications suitable for a Kubernetes environment, demonstrate expertise in multithreading in C#, and ensure thread safety. Prior experience with execution management systems (EMS) or order management systems (OMS) is preferred.

Requirements

Formal Qualifications:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• 5+ years of applied experience in the field.
• Experience with financial products traded in capital markets (e.g., Equities, Futures, Options, Bonds, Swaps, FX).
• Advanced knowledge and experience with C#/.Net.
• Advanced experience in developing multi-threaded applications.
• Experience building middle-tier services at scale.
• Experience with third-party integrations using REST, SOAP, FIX, and secure file transfer.
• Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies (e.g., CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security).
• Proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, AI, machine learning, mobile).
• In-depth knowledge of trading industry IT systems and practical cloud-native experience.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

• Experience working with Portfolio Management systems.
• Ability to work in an Agile environment.
• Understanding of modern User Interface architecture and design.
• Experience with data caching technologies (e.g., Redis, Hazelcast).
• Experience with message distribution technologies (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka).
• Advanced English language skills.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $100.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may include:
