Invoice database

We need a desktop-based application to help organize and manage our invoices more efficiently. The application should allow us to dump all our invoices in a folder and then tabulate the data in an orderly way, including columns such as serial number, supplier name, invoice date, sent date, invoice number, delivery note number, type of document, reference, pick number, total amount, and a couple of columns for additional notes. There should also be an archive button. Archived invoices need to be arranged according to suppliers, with options to filter by date range and display a total row. This is my first simple database project, and if this goes well, I have other project ideas I would like to develop. I am a small business owner looking for a simple and efficient solution to help organise my daily workflow.

About the client
I am a small business owner trying to organise my work load. I need to work more efficiently to deal with my daily business. I need some simple database apps. This is my first simple database project. I am testing the waters with this small one. I have few other ideas to develop. These are all kind of startup like projects.
